Dell Precision 5530 is a high-end enterprise laptop which is widely used by graphics and gaming enthusiasts – Dell 5530 shipped with different variants like i5 8th genration, i7 8th generation, and also with i9 featuring Full HD and 4K Screens, but for this Hackintosh project, we’re going to use 4k version of Dell Latitude Precision 5530 with Core i7 8850H with the following specifcations –

BIOS Settings for hackintosh Dell 5530
- SATA Operation: Change this setting from RAID to AHCI. This is a critical step, as macOS requires AHCI mode for your storage drives. This change will make any existing Windows installation unbootable until the setting is reverted – so you can Google how to change to AHCI without losing data or reinstall Windows –
- Fast Boot: Set to minimal
- CSM: Disable
Security settings
- Secure Boot: Disable Secure Boot
- CPU XD Support: Enable CPU XD Support (Execute Disable Bit).
- Intel SGX: Disable Intel Software Guard Extensions.
Virtualization settings
- Virtualization: Enable Virtualization for the CPU.
- VT for Direct I/O: Enable VT for Direct I/O (VT-d) if it is available
